You don’t have to visit a museum or gallery to see great photography these days. Thanks to social media and digital technology, extraordinary pictures can be found at our fingertips, just a click away. This year, PhotoNOLA, New Orleans Annual Festival of Photography, will be held on December 8th – 11th. In anticipation of the festival–which celebrates and promotes dialogue among New Orleans’ photography community–I’ve chosen to highlight the work of several New Orleans-based photographers in this post. If you’re interested in photography (or simply like what you see), check them out on the web or social media, where more of their work is on view.

Here are nine New Orleans Photographers whose pictures capture the spirit of our city. With only a month to go until PhotoNOLA, these visuals will surely whet your appetite for great photography.
